Wes + Nicole: Married {Brisbane Wedding Photographer}

Aren’t Wes and Nicole lucky? Look how loved they are. You’d think that many people getting ready together on a wedding day would be chaos, but the opposite was true – it was actually really calm with lots of laughs thrown in. The entire bridal party must be commended actually, they dealt really well with me bossing them around all day – turns out directing a bridal party of 14 isn’t that different to a bridal party of 4. Nicole and Wes made it easy, they love each other so bloody much that it just oozes out of every image. Their amazing ceremony was overseen by the excellent James McLauchlan at Victoria Park, who kept the day running smoothly even when a storm rolled through right after the kiss that sealed the deal. The rain didn’t last though and that sky provided and awesome back drop while we zipped around the gorgeous grounds to find the best places to shoot the bridal portraits. After that the party really started, with touching (and hilarious) speeches and even a song written and performed by Nicole’s brother especially for them. What an end to my weddings for 2015, thank you guys.

Eli + Shannon: Married {Blue Mountains Wedding}

If there was an award for the sweetest people on earth, Eli and Shannon would win – hands down. From what I saw on their wedding day, their family and friends would agree. They are so loved and they love everyone close to them in such a genuinely open and honest way. Not a single second of their wedding felt like work to me, as I was treated like some sort of camera wielding VIP. I was welcomed with open arms, thanked more times than I could count, fed amazing food and just made to feel very much part of their special day. See the way they are looking at each other? That’s all Shannon and Eli, I didn’t have to even try with these two – it all just happened. The Blue Mountains provided a perfect backdrop for their images. I literally gasped the first time I saw each of those locations and was thrilled to hear that Shannon wanted to trek into the burnt out sections in her white dress. Then later she asked ‘Can we lay on the grass?’. Um, YES YOU CAN. I love it when a couple are as excited about their images as I am. For a girl that lives on the Coast, seeing parts of Australia like this just blows my tiny mind. I love it.

You guys. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Truly. It was such a special day and one I won’t forget for a long time.

Grant + Siobhan: Married {Bush Chapel Wedding}

Grant and Siobhan got married in a teeny tiny ceremony, nestled in the Bush Chapel on Mt Cootha, on what was Brisbane’s coldest July day in a very long time. Pretty sure all that love warmed everyone up though (yeah, I said it). You will note their flower girl is hairier than most and absolutely stole the show, I do love a canine wedding participant. There is something so cool about the little weddings, where only the couple’s absolute nearest and dearest get to witness the special day. Simple and beautiful.

Vik + Jem: Married {Brisbane Wedding Photographer}

Vik and Jem’s wedding was as joyous and happy as it looks. Truly. If my favourite wedding ingredients were all combined together to make a fantastic super wedding, this was it. Letters to each other complete with tears,  champagne, sequins, lace, heartfelt gifts, city love, a first look, combining cultures, amazing speeches and an epic dance floor. They had it all, what a night. What a treat to be part of that ride.

Lynn + Kate + Max {Toowoomba Family Photographer}

Everything about this session makes my heart sing. I’ve known Kate for many years – we went to uni together, we lived together and she’s been a big part of my life ever since. Her family is my family, really. Which includes lovely old Max who was born the same year as Kate (and I), making him (and us) the ripe old age of 33 (almost 34 – one of us is already there :P).

Kate and her sister gifted beautiful Lynn this session for Mother’s Day and obviously I was more than happy to make it happen. Look at Max, isn’t he the sweetest? He is so loved, which I know is the key to his long, happy life.
