The Ekka really does showcase the weird and wonderful. Some of it really challenges my views on what is ok and what is pushing the ethical boundries when it comes to the animals. Some are clearly stressed by the noise and crowds, whilst others thrive on it. The sheep lambing in a giant perspex box in front of hundreds of people bothers me somewhat, but I can see the attraction. One thing is for sure though, the look of wonder on the faces of adults and children alike as they stroll around the grounds is quite captivating. Until next year Ekka….

Melissa Stampa - Wow, these were so much fun to look at! Particularly as I haven’t been to the Ekka in about 15 years so it felt like a step back in time to me. WHAT were those birds at the top with the puffed out chest? They were unreal. Loved the little lambs too, they melt my heart.
simone carter - I’m not going to the Ekka this year but I feel like I have visited it after viewing these photos. Fantastic perspectives that makes me feel close to the action!
